wow thats not good Once the tin foil has melted (fused) to the oven bottom there is no way to remove it. You will need to order & replace the oven bottom. Please review the operating instructions stating not to place tin foil in the oven."

are you going to repace the oven bottom?

TRy good old dishwashing detergent and let it soak(im talking about the detergent that goes into the dishwasher, Syl told me about that and I swear it takes off any real stuck on stuiff in pans you name it that other stuff doesnt. Make sure then detegent is dissovled a bit then pour on what you want gone and let soak it works awesome.
good luck.

I would try a paste of vinegar and baking soda, leaving it on for a couple of days. It lately works wonder on odd things...worth trying anything.

By the way, I found on a cooking show with "Ricardo", he used parchment paper under the bacon on a cookie sheet. I cook the bacon this way now, it works perfectly!. 375F for about 15-18mins.

Good Luck.....

Gail

i do not have a suggestion, but a question, why did you not just put a cookie sheet under the bacon that was cooking???
